With progressive functions for recording working hours, SAP SuccessFactors Time Tracking offers a real-time overview of employees' working hours, thereby ensuring more transparency and improved control over absences, working hours and overtime hours. The module requires the prior implementation of SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central. The module offers the following functions:
Various presence types and absence types can be configured, and different workflows and approval processes can be set up for them.
Excess hours and overtime accounts are configured according to customer requirements and are clearly displayed for the employee.
Regulations regarding night work, Saturday work, Sunday work or working hours on public holidays can be configured according to customer requirements and, if desired, replicated directly as a pay type for bonus payments in SAP Payroll.
On-call availability, actual deployment and other allowances can be recorded in SAP SuccessFactors Time Tracking and replicated in SAP Payroll.
The definition of a target working hours timeframe is mandatory. A framework working time can also be defined. Clocking in or out outside of this framework time must be especially authorised in order to be counted.
Employees can be notified in various different ways that actions are required in their time sheets. One of these is the time sheet reminder, if employees do not submit their time sheets.
The system can be used to check the statutory break and rest times.

As a cloud-based system, Time Tracking offers the advantage of easy provision and maintenance. This makes the solution very flexible and easy to adapt to customer requirements. Regular releases ensure that the software is kept up to date and that technological innovations are integrated promptly. As Time Tracking requires SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central, no further interface to the master data system is necessary and payroll-relevant processes can also be recorded consistently.
