From manual to automated: The way to full digitalisation
Many Swiss SMEs are finding themselves confronted with the challenge of digitalising their business processes. consimo recognised the need for action and looked for a comprehensive solution to modernise its HR processes. A leader in the field of compensation offices and insurance with around 130 employees in Switzerland, consimo was faced with the challenge of digitalising its business processes. The focus here was not only on the IT infrastructure, but also on urgently needed modernisation of the HR processes. Manual processes, Excel lists and individual solutions were to be replaced by an integrated total package with the aim of improving efficiency and at the same time coming into line with the demands of a modern working environment.
In search of the optimum solution, consimo launched an invitation to tender and opted for the customised «HR for SMEs» range from HR Campus, consisting of Personio in combination with SwissSalary, Arbeitszeugnis swiss+, Edi Expense Intelligence and HR strategy consultancy.
The project was carried out in two phases: In the first phase, Personio was implemented for all HR processes, such as master data and document management combined with SwissSalary for payroll accounting specific to Switzerland. The aim of the second phase is to extend Personio in order to make conversations with employees more flexible and automate the processes relating to reference preparation and expenses management.
consimo noticed significant improvements even after the conclusion of Phase 1. Personio has been used so far to replace HR processes based on Excel lists with automated processes. This saves a large number of intermediate manual steps, avoids disruption caused by changes of media and reduces the time required considerably. Personio's intuitive functions enabled the project team to specify settings themselves and to adjust them independently even after the project. Thanks to SwissSalary, payroll accounting can be completed with much fewer clicks, considerably simplifying the process.
