Initial situation

JURA Management AG, consisting of 14 Swiss companies in the building materials industry, was faced with the challenge of introducing a central HR system for its 600 employees at 30 different locations.

The aim was to harmonise, optimise, digitalise and finally automate the employee master data and talent processes. As the majority of employees do not have access to a laptop or PC due to their work in the workshops, the HR system also needed to be accessible via smartphone at all times.

Solution

SAP SuccessFactors offers JURA Management AG an integrated reporting tool and, thanks to its modular structure, enables HR processes to be designed consistently. Employees and managers benefit from the synergies within the system. Thanks to the mobile app, HR processes can be completed anytime and anywhere. The integrated UKG Document Manager ensures fast, digital access to all personnel dossiers.

Project

The individual projects were implemented according to the tried-and-tested HR Campus project approach. Instead of starting from scratch, we utilised our tried and tested best practice configuration. We started with the implementation of SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central including Time Off and Payroll, which form the basis for the HR master data and payroll system and laid the foundation for further SAP SuccessFactors modules.

The "Time Tracking" module was then introduced almost seamlessly as a time recording tool, followed by the "Performance & Goals" module for the digitisation of employee appraisals. The next steps were the introduction of the Recruitment and Compensation modules to further expand the SAP SuccessFactors HR suite. In addition to the SuccessFactors modules, the UKG Document Manager was also introduced and the physical personnel files were digitised.
